After the recent flooding in Queensland, we now have beautiful weather in Noosaville. Fortunately the Sunshine Coast was unaffected by the flooding that devastated Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley. Our thoughts are with those who lost family and friends.

** UPDATE ** The USM Events website crashed due to the sheer number of applicants trying to register for the Noosa Triathlon. Registrations via the website will reopen again 8th June for Individuals, and 9th June for Team entries.

Applications for the Noosa Tri 2010 open 1st June at 9am. Get in quick as places are limited.

Please be patient with the USMevents website as they expect a deluge of applications!

The Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival runs from Oct 27th to the 31st 2010 with the main event, the Noosa Triathlon on Sunday 31st October.

His first hit out on the tour coincided with his first foray out of Australia to compete in the 2010 South Pacific Export PNG Open Golf Championship. After applying for a getting an Australian Passport for the first time Kai excitedly jetted off to PNG along with the other members of the tour.

Lindonis is a favourite of ours. We usually visit once a year as a special treat. We were so lucky to call up on the day and make a reservation for that evening, fortunately for us a table had just cancelled and we managed to get in; table for 4, inside (wet day) at 8pm.

The girls started with Champagne Cocktails whilst the Gents cracked on with a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

For starters we shared Arancini Di Zucca (Pumpkin and sage risotto balls with chilli/olive tapenade and pesto), Cozze In Bianco (Steamed Tasmanian mussels tossed with garlic, white wine and parsley), Polipi Grigliati (Baby octopus with roasted capsicum and chilli oil on salad greens) and Insalata Caprese (Imported Buffalo mozzarella on “vine ripened” tomatoes, basil, extra virgin olive oil).

For me, the favourite was the Insalata Caprese; Mozzarella, Tomatoes and Basil; simple and fresh.

For mains we ordered Anatra All ‘Arrosto (Organic Bendelle Farm roast duck with caramelised rhubarb and grappa sauce), Saltimbocca Alla Romana (Pan seared veal with sage and prosciutto), we also ordered sides of Roast kipfler potatoes, steamed green beans, baby carrots and snow peas to accompany the mains.

The duck was stunning. On a par with the Rack of Lamb I had last time we ate there.

Price wise, it’s not a cheap night out. But at the same time the professional service, ambience and food all combine to create a very special evening which in my book is priceless.
